It's my chair, no it's my chair

Forget the experts, this is what being a twin is all about - Fighting over things!

Emma was riding on the school bus ride on and Ethan pushed on in front of her and the fight was on. Notice the "Mator the other ride on is only feet away. It concluded with Emma taking both hands and covering Ethan's eyes like she was playing peek-a-boo and then gouging him in the eyes.

They trade off days of being the dominant (read, oh you have that I want it, now you have something else, what I just stole from you is no good, I am stealing what you have now). I am still waiting for the sharing people describe to kick in. They talk of one twin being given a cookie and taking ot to their twin, who then goes and asks for a cookie for theirself. Hopefully they survive each others brutality till that day arrives.

This is not what I had in mind for sharing my cereal

I went to get a small bowl for sharing with Ethan and Emma and Emma grabbed my bowl off the table. At least I hadn't added the milk yet.

What's that in the cabinet

Emma and Ethan decided to move into the cabinet in the kitchen. They were so cute, they crawled so far in I could not see them for a while. I was waiting for them to close the door.

Emma learns to get on the big girl chair

First time Emma got onto the adult chair herself

I ran some laundry upstairs and came down to find Emma had pulled out the adult chair and crawled up on it and was reading the mail. She has been trying to get up on it for several days. I see a bump on the head coming :-)

Emma gets in one last ride before bed

IMG_0462

Emma decided she needed one more ride on her pony before she would go to bed. Nanc was in the middle of putting on her sleeper before bed and Emma had other ideas. Got to love that look of pure joy and saying "I got away with one".

Guess it's time to move the changing table downstairs

We have a open shelving unit we kept the sleepers, blankets, etc in
downstairs behind the couch for easy access. Unfortunately Ethan and
Emma decided it was easy acess too!
For a while it wasn't too bad, they only pulled out a few things. It's
been getting worse and this was the final straw. The changing station
is now moved. Oh well I would be more concerned if they weren't
exploring.

Oooh that smell

Oh the glamorous life of a Stay At Home Dad.

As we were taking out the garbage last night, I emptied the diaper pails as usual. As I walked past Nanc she mentioned they really stank so we washed them out. Later as I looked at her I still smelt the FOUL odor. Looked around for a missed diaper and assumed it was just residual smell.

Later I went up to hang some clothes in the room where Emma naps and there was the smell AGAIN. It was everywhere. I figured maybe she (Emma not Nancy :-)) had leaked on sheet in playpen. Sniffed the playpen and nope not it, but still smelling it. That darn SMELL was following me from room to room. Finally noticed I smelt it every time I looked right. Sure enough it was stale milk on my shirt sleeve where Ethan had burped up a little as we out the twins to bed.
Wow that milk stinks compared to formula, but the price is right compared to milk. We are saving almost $100 a week now that they are off formula. Had to laugh at where the smell was coming from.
