"It is their world and we are just living in it"
-comment from our friend Melanie
Welcome to Ethan and Emma's Blog.
This is the place to keep up with Ethan and Emma's antics.
We have been overwhelmed with all the kind words, gestures and support over the long journey to get here. We could not have done it without you.
Love,
John and Nancy

Forget the experts, this is what being a twin is all about - Fighting over things!
Emma was riding on the school bus ride on and Ethan pushed on in front of her and the fight was on. Notice the "Mator the other ride on is only feet away. It concluded with Emma taking both hands and covering Ethan's eyes like she was playing peek-a-boo and then gouging him in the eyes.
They trade off days of being the dominant (read, oh you have that I want it, now you have something else, what I just stole from you is no good, I am stealing what you have now). I am still waiting for the sharing people describe to kick in. They talk of one twin being given a cookie and taking ot to their twin, who then goes and asks for a cookie for theirself. Hopefully they survive each others brutality till that day arrives.
Notice the scratch/gouge on my right eye.

Guess it's time to move the changing table downstairs
downstairs behind the couch for easy access. Unfortunately Ethan and
Emma decided it was easy acess too!
For a while it wasn't too bad, they only pulled out a few things. It's
been getting worse and this was the final straw. The changing station
is now moved. Oh well I would be more concerned if they weren't
exploring.

Oooh that smell
Oh the glamorous life of a Stay At Home Dad.
As we were taking out the garbage last night, I emptied the diaper pails as usual. As I walked past Nanc she mentioned they really stank so we washed them out. Later as I looked at her I still smelt the FOUL odor. Looked around for a missed diaper and assumed it was just residual smell.
Later I went up to hang some clothes in the room where Emma naps and there was the smell AGAIN. It was everywhere. I figured maybe she (Emma not Nancy :-)) had leaked on sheet in playpen. Sniffed the playpen and nope not it, but still smelling it. That darn SMELL was following me from room to room. Finally noticed I smelt it every time I looked right. Sure enough it was stale milk on my shirt sleeve where Ethan had burped up a little as we out the twins to bed.
Wow that milk stinks compared to formula, but the price is right compared to milk. We are saving almost $100 a week now that they are off formula. Had to laugh at where the smell was coming from.
