Halloween is so much better with kids. Emma and Ethan had the best time dressing up and then helping hand out candy. Ethan was a dragon and Emma was Casper the Friendly Ghost. They did go trick or treating to the neighbors in the cul-de-sac. They didn't collect candy, just wanted to show them off.
Thanks for thinking of us, we love the outfits.
This was grandparents at their best. Mom tells Carl to take the papertowels away from Emma. Carl tells Mom to, she's closer. Mom says I don't want to make her mad at me, you do it. Carl says that's why I said you should do it.
That's why being grandparents is better than being parents :-)
Don't I just look so proud of the fact that I just turned over the toybox and emptied all our toys on the floor.
After two weeks of trying Ethan finally was able to crawl into the base of his Exersaucer. He thought it was pretty cool stuff. He gets around pretty well now. All he has to do is figure out how to move his legs at the same time as his arms and I am in for it. Things could get very interesting in a few weeks :-)
Here's a picture of Emmers and daddy at the Ole Penisula restaurant in Kalamazoo, MI. It was the first time either her or Ethan sat in a high chair at a restaurant. As you can see we were having a great time. Both Ethan and Emma were little Angels on our weekend get away with Mom and Carl.
Emma managed to crawl under the rails of the chair and then sit herself up. Two small problems though. One she is 1 inch too tall and kept lifting the chair off the ground. Two she did not know how to get out and was not happy pretty quickly. It's amazing she sat up on her own only 4 days ago and now she can sit up on her own at will. They learn so fast.
Emma was playing with the links hanging from the Exersaucer and I had to change her. Ethan took her links and I added a second set so that they would not fight over them and she could have one. It was not long till Emma commandeered both sets and left Ethan out to dry.
