Leg fell off the chair so Emma got a hammer and hammered it back in, but not untill she got her "construction" hat.

Nanc and I have had company in bed every morning lately

We don't let them go to bed in our bed at night but lately one or both have been waking up when Nanc is getting ready for work and getting in our bed. 4 people in a queen size bed makes for poor sleeping for the adults.

Emma is going through a teenager stage

No wonder Emma acts the way she has lately. She thinks she's a teenager already. Sleeping in past 10! Wow what I could get done if only her in the a.m.

Ethan playing Garbage Man

Ethan playing garbage truck. Too cute. He fills front chair and then dumps contents over second chair onto the floor behind it since that's how the garbage truck does it. Even uses a snapple cap as his steering wheel and makes motor sounds the whole time.

Oh my you blink and they are grown up

So in the past two days. Ethan has aged about 3 years. He started preschool full time, got POTTY TRAINED and cleaned up his own spill off the floor today without being ask while I was dressing Emma.

I was changing Emma and getting her dressed downstairs as Ethan started eating his yogurt for breakfast. I didn't hear a thing, but saw he wasn't in his chair. I looked over and he had knocked his yogurt cup on the floor, got a kleenex and was wiping it all up.

We started potty training this weekend thinking Emma would get it right away since she has dabbled with it longer than Ethan, but she did not do well and Ethan took to it right away. He went all day yesterday including preschool with only one little squirt at dinner in his training pants and woke up almost dry today and went in the potty right away upon wakening. He decided yesterday at school that he would start standing to pee-pee and has been doing it since.

Second day of preschool and we were a little afraid Emma would not want to go as she said she didn't like it as much as their old once or twice a week Parents Day Out program, but she put on her backpack and both went right on the bus.

Holy cow, guess I won't be needed for much longer!

Ethan and Emma's First Day Of Preschool

Well we knew it had to happen, but we didn't think it would come so soon. Today Ethan and Emma started full time preschool. Both go four days every week and Ethan goes five days every other week. Ethan was quite excited to ride the bus and went right on and got in his seat. Emma went right on and got in her seat, but as you can see from the picture she was a little stressed when it was time for daddy and mommy to get off. The bus driver and her helper could not have been nicer. Well the adventure begins ...

Our recycling can puts itself away - or at least it looks like it at first.
